New Cormate Chase 32 just launched at Oslo Boat Show...
The Cormate Chase 32 had its world launch during this year’s “Båter i Sjøen”! It is a further development of the Chase 34, which has won 2nd place in the prestigious “Concours d’Elégance” during the boat fair in Cannes. The Chase 32 is optimized for single engine installation by, among other things, changing the weight distribution and the bottom structure.
Good predictable sea characteristics and the ability to maintain high speed even in rough seas have had the highest priority during the design process. Nevertheless, the Chase 32 are also very versatile and user-friendly with their open walkaround solution, and a living comfort in the day cruiser class.

Featuring the same cabin layout as the Chase 34, she offers spacious double berth, separate wet room with marine wc, shower and sink, plus on deck wet bar, twin helm position, forward leaning post and seating for 6 around a fold away teak table, this area also converts to a large sundeck in addition to the bow sundeck. The hull is a development of our very advanced and efficient Monostep technology, but the length/width ratio is inspired by the real ocean going offshore racers from the 60’ties and 70’ties. The engine of choice for the C32 will be the Mercruiser 8,2L V8 430HP sterndrive or the latest generation Mercury 350hp Verado outboard.

The Cormate Chase 32 Pro is the latest boat to be launched from Hydro Design, the manufacturers of Cormate in Norway. Based on the award winning Chase 35 hull, she stands out from other boats in her class due to her exceptional fuel efficiency, high speed and stability, versatility, user-friendliness, and luxury and comfort. The Chase 32 advanced stepped hull design and low weight result in exceptionally low fuel consumption and high top speed. The boat is optimized for single engine installation, which enhances its performance and maneuverability. The Chase 32 Pro delivers impressive speed and stability, even in rough seas, making it a reliable and enjoyable vessel for any adventure. Earlier this year, the big brother Chase 35 was introduced, This boat has also received a completely newly developed Mk2 hull and has been extended by a foot. The new construction provides higher efficiency and better stability. The change now also gives the possibility to use Twin 565 hp High performance engines from Mercury Racing. These are two sporty models that combine efficient maneuverability in all kinds of sea, with elegance and high performance. With a v-bottom of 24.5 degrees and a length/width ratio of approx. 4, this gives extremely good sea characteristics and shows that Cormate’s racing genes have not been forgotten.

Introducing the all new Cormate T28 Supermarine
We are delighted to announce that the all new Cormate T28 Supermarine has just been launched and will be featured at the Southampton Boat Show in September.
A Norwegian designed, quality boat with unusually high finish and great details. T-28 combines the usability of a center console deck arrangement with the comfort of a day cruiser. The open and user-friendly lay out gives easy access to all of the boats outside area, it also includes four integrated fenders for easy one-movement fendering when mooring.
T-28 has a sheltered sunbathing area in the bow and an elegant sun bed/activity platform aft. The rear seat backrest can be easily adjusted in various positions to be used as a seat, deckchair or a lounger. T-28 can be supplied in a variety of colors, engines and equipment combinations, tailored for each customer.

Cormate Heritage
Designed and developed in Norway by Hydro Design AS since 1985, Cormate offer a bespoke built, classically styled range of high performance family sports boats.
Hydro-Design was founded in 1985 by Egil Ranvig. Together with his friend Tom Martens Meyer, he developed the enterprise from producing affordable waterski boats to increasingly sophisticated racing boats. These boats won countless Offshore races, including European and World championship races and they also set world speed records. Taking all his experience from offshore racing Egil Ranvig set upon the quest to make some of the most beautiful and fastest daycruisers in the world. And that’s how it all started for Cormate.
Hydro DesignFrom 1989, Hydro Design also began to produce center console boats. The first models, F-18 and F-20 are today sought after classics. With ever new models being produced, the company evolved to become a distinct player among recreational boat manufacturers. In 1999, Ranvig sold the manufacturing rights and left the business, but missing royalty payments resulted in Ranvig regained the production rights and his old brand name. Later the Hydrolift name and the rights to T-30 and S-24 hulls were taken over by Bård Eker, who has since then run the Hydrolift company to its new heights. Hydro Design continued to produce the original models and new RIB’s under the name Stormway. This business was sold fairly quickly and the idea of yet another brand was conceived. Along with Frode Svendsen, his old brother in arms from the Hydrolift era, Ranvig could now realize the dream of a new concept. The goal was to produce quality boats with excellent seaworthiness and timeless lines, but with a revolutionary layout adapted for today’s lifestyle. These boats were entirely constructed by CAD/CAM, without ties to former construction and building techniques – the Cormate boats saw the light of day. By the première display at the international Norwegian Boat Show in 2006, the CormateT-28 was awarded the “The Boat of the Year” prize. At its second international première 9 years later, it was awarded the “Boat of the Show” at the international boat show in Warsaw.
